Woohoooo finally in the air!
It took thousands of hours of workshopping, graduating, skyping, wording and mailing, but the platform is now available to be consulted by everybody!
While attending the 2013 Circular Economy 100 Summit, the idea for Circular Delft was sparked between classmates Flora Poppelaars and Katherine Whalen. Our belief that business, design and engineering are key to successfully implementing the system shift needed to 'go circular'. Later that year, a team of CE fanatics was formed and Circular Delft was launched as an offline platform to promote a transition to circular economy at the TU Delft.
The Circular Delft team reckons this transition will only be achieved if strategists, designers and engineers are trained to apply circular thinking to their activities. The student initiative aims to spread the word about circular economy across Delft. The platform is meant to inform students on opportunities and threats, and support them in the implementation of CE in system and product development.
